Studies on ¥â-Glucuronidase Activity in Reproductive System of Female Rats Infected with Metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis

Abstract
The authors have studied the ¥â-glucuronidase activity in the reproductive system such as common uterus, horn uterus and ovary of female rats infected with various number of metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis.
The metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis used in the experiment were collected from Pseudorasbora parva by digestive technic.
The experimental animals were sacrificed in the period of 1, 7, 14, 21, 28, and 35th days metacercariae infection.
@ES The result obtained were summarized as follows:
@EN 1. In the group infected with 50 metaceracariae of Clonorchis sinensis, ¥â-glucuronidase activity was elevated the highest in 7th, and 14th days according to each organs, and then decreased or increased by the passage of the time.
2. In the groups infected with 100 metaceracariae of Clonorchis sinensis, ¥â-glucuronidase activity was elevated the highest in first, 7th, and 14th days accooding to each organs, and then also decreased or increased by the passage of the time.
3. In the groups infected with 200 meatcercariae of Clonorchis sinensis, ¥â-glucuronidase activity was remarkably elevated on the 1st day in common uterus, 14th days in horn uterus and 7th days of ovary, and then was increased again in each
organs
after decreased from 21th days gradually.
4. ¥â-glucuronidase activity in reproductive system of female rabbits infected with various number of metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis was the highest in common on uterus, and then horn uterus and ovary espectively.
5. ¥â-glucuronidase activity in reprodutive system of female rats infected with various number of metacercariae was changed according to infection number of metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis.
On the basis of these results, it was sugested that ¥â-glucuronidase activity was affected by the number of infected metacercariae of Clonorchis sinensis, and then according to the period of metacercariae infection and organs.
